Unifiedcommerce Hub website, marketplace and expert platform

In short: we collect the information needed to run an account, process an order, verify a manual bank transfer, deliver a purchased file, and let clients and experts talk to each other. We do not sell personal information. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to close your account at any time.

1.Introduction

This policy explains how Unifiedcommerce Hub handles personal information across the public website, the client account area, the expert platform and the digital marketplace.

It applies to visitors who only browse, clients who buy digital products or hire an expert, and experts who apply to join and maintain a profile.

Specific company registration and contact details are maintained by the site administrator and published on the Contact page. Where a detail is not published, it has not been finalised, and we would rather leave it out than state something inaccurate.

2.Information we collect

We collect only what a given interaction requires. Browsing the public site requires far less than placing an order.

2.1Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Authentication is handled by our backend provider; we never store your password in readable form.

2.2Client information

  • Contact name and email address
  • Optional company or store name and store URL
  • Billing reference details you supply for an order
  • Support correspondence you send us

2.3Expert information

Experts who apply through the Join page submit a professional profile: name, professional title, biography, years of experience, skills, services, platforms, portfolio summary and relevant links.

An application is reviewed by an administrator. A profile becomes publicly visible only after it is approved and published; until then it is visible to administrators and to the expert.

2.4Order and transaction information

  • What was ordered, the price and the currency
  • The order reference and its status history
  • Timestamps for payment windows, submissions and verification decisions
  • Any administrator note recorded against the order

2.5Payment information

Payments are made by manual bank transfer. We do not receive or store full card numbers, and we do not operate a card checkout. The information we hold is the bank transfer reference you use and the proof of payment you upload.

2.6Uploaded files and receipts

Receipts and other files you upload are stored in private storage that is not publicly readable. They are accessible to administrators reviewing your order and to you through your account.

2.7Messages and communications

Messages exchanged between clients, experts and the platform are stored with their timestamps and read state so a conversation can be referenced later during support or a dispute.

2.8Reviews

When you submit a review we store your name, email address, optional company name, rating and review text, along with the order, project or hire it relates to where that link exists.

Your email address is used to verify the review and is never displayed publicly. Reviews are published only after an administrator approves them.

2.9Website usage information

Our hosting and backend providers process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

3.Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, to keep your cart and checkout state, and to protect forms against abuse.

Optional analytics or marketing technologies are only used when an administrator has actually connected them. Our Cookie Policy lists the categories in detail and explains how to control them.

4.How information is used

  • Create and operate your account and keep it secure
  • Process orders, verify manual bank transfers and issue receipts
  • Unlock and deliver purchased digital files to the buyer
  • Enable messaging between clients and experts
  • Review expert applications and manage published profiles
  • Moderate and publish reviews
  • Provide support and resolve disputes
  • Detect, prevent and investigate fraud or misuse of the platform
  • Meet record-keeping obligations that apply to us

6.How information is stored and secured

Data is stored in our managed backend platform. Access rules are enforced at the database level so a record is only readable by the people entitled to see it: you, the expert or client on the other side of an engagement where relevant, and administrators.

Uploaded files are held in private storage and served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs.

  • Passwords are hashed by the authentication provider, never stored in plain text
  • Administrator actions on orders, reviews and profiles are recorded
  • Unpublished content is never exposed on public pages
  • Access to production data is limited to administrators who need it

7.Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need it to complete an order, honour a licence, resolve a dispute or satisfy a record-keeping obligation.

Order, payment verification and receipt records are kept longer than general account data because they evidence a completed transaction. Messages tied to an engagement are retained so either side can reference them.

When information is no longer needed it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8.Service providers and processors

We use a small number of providers to run the platform: hosting and content delivery, our managed database, authentication and file storage, and email delivery for transactional messages such as order updates.

Providers act on our instructions, receive only what they need, and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where a specific provider must be named for your own compliance review, contact us and we will confirm the current list in writing.

9.Communications and emails

Transactional email is part of the service: account confirmation, order status, payment verification outcomes, receipts, message notifications and review outcomes. These cannot be switched off while your account is active because they carry information about your own transactions.

10.Marketing communications

Marketing email is sent only if you have opted in. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect transactional email about your orders.

11.Your rights

We respond to requests as quickly as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first so that we do not disclose someone else's data.

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a copy of it in a portable form
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Complain to the data protection authority in your country

12.Account deletion

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We remove your profile from public view immediately on request and delete personal data that we are not required to retain.

Records that evidence a completed purchase, a licence you hold, or a dispute outcome are retained in a reduced form. Approved reviews may remain published in anonymised form unless you ask for their removal.

13.Making a data request

Send data requests to the contact address published on our Contact page, or to where that address is in use. Tell us what you are asking for so we can act on it without a series of clarifying emails.

14.Children's privacy

The platform is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age required to form a contract in their country. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

15.International data considerations

Our providers may process or store data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers.

We do not claim certification under any specific transfer framework unless it has actually been obtained and published here.

16.Changes to this Privacy Policy

We update this policy when the platform changes or when the way we handle information changes. The effective date and last updated date at the top of this page always reflect the current version, and material changes are announced to account holders by email.

17.Contact information

Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the Contact page, which carries the current published contact details for Unifiedcommerce Hub.
